Released in 2020 with a premier on OWN Network, (In)Visible portraits reclaims the narrative of Black Women in American History. The director of the film, Oge Egbuonu, sat with me and shared her vision which included a 4 part structure that would be woven together with poetry and visual art. My role was to write and narrate the poetry, which came out to be roughly 12 minutes of the film. The writing paired with direction of the visuals harmoniously elevated the overall artistic experience moving many critics and viewers to tears. The film is now available for rent and purchase on Amazon Prime.
